UFC Live 6 Picks

I don't know all the fighters on this card so I'm only picking guys that I've seen fight.

Josh Neer over Keith Wisniewski
Neer has a ton of experience. I think he'll take it.
√ WINNER Neer cut him to pieces with elbows. Second round stoppage due to cuts. Gory fight.

Shane Roller over T.J. Grant
Roller is coming off a tough loss and I think he'll make up for it in this close fight.
X LOSER The ref stopped it without Roller tapping. Grant wins by submission due to an armbar. Grant looked to be the better fighter and looked great dropping down in weight.
 
Paul Sass to beat Michael Johnson
I continue to think Johnson is a one punch wonder, but we'll see after this one.
√ WINNER Sass heel-hooked Johnson and looked like he may have mangled Johnson's knee.

Yves Edwards over Oliveira
Edwards is tough as nails.
√ WINNER Edwards weathers an early storm by Oliveira, settled in and won the round. Edwards takes takes it to him in the second and knocks him out.

  
Matt Wiman over Mac Danzig
Early stoppage of the last fight but Danzig looked slower and not very focused.
√ WINNER Wiman bullied around on Danzig but this one goes the distance. It was a back and forth war and a very fun fight to watch. Wiman wins a unanimous decision 29-28.

Anthony Johnson over Charlie Brenneman
Brenneman may surprise me but I think Johnson's hands will finish this fight early.
√ WINNER Brenneman tried his trademark takedowns..to no avail. Johnson clocked him and had Brenneman rocked, he staggered to the fence and Johnson kicked him square in the face. Brenneman went down and the ref called it quits. Charlie could have continued but he didn't need anymore. Johnson was in beastmode.


Pat Barry over Stefan Struve
This is a tough pick, Struve could use his range and keep Barry at bay. I think Barry will use leg kicks until he's finally able to connect with a solid punch to finish.
X LOSER Slow fight, not much happening until Struve ends up pulling guard straight to a triangle choke. Barry lifts Struve over his head for the slam but Struve held on and tightened the triangle for the win.

Demetrius Johnson over Dominick Cruz
Mighty Mouse Johnson has amazed me with his speed and top control. Cruz doesn't get taken down often so I think this will be a barn burner. This should be a fun fight to watch.
X LOSER Cruz controlled the fight, dominating with his wrestling. Johnson was unable to secure a single takedown. Both guys are fast as lightning but Cruz definitely was the superior fighter. Johnson showed that he did deserve to be in this fight but he was overwhelmed by Cruz. Way to go Dominick!
