UFC 137 picks

The facebook prelims aren't even worth making picks. Tonight's fight card is pretty weak. I'm starting with the under card.


Tyson Griffin to outwork Bart Palaszewski.
X LOSER Palaszewski knocked out Griffin in round one!

Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone will man-handle Dennis Siver.
√ WINNER Cerrone rocked Siver several times and choked him out at 2:22 of round one.

Hatsu Hioki over George Roop.
√ WINNER Hioki won 2 rounds and was awarded a decision victory.

Scott Jorgensen takes the nod in a close bout with Jeff Curran.
√ WINNER Jorgensen did as usual, drag the guy down and hold him down. Boring fight!

Roy "Big Country" Nelson will drag Mirko Crocop down and beat him until he taps. Mirko should call it quits.
√ WINNER Roy did exactly as predicted. He used that crucifix just like on Kimbo.

Matt Mitrione is going to surprise everyone again by knocking out Cheick Kongo.
X LOSER Kongo decidedly took the last round. Not much else happened.

Nick Diaz will pitter patter punch on BJ until Penn gets tired and he will finish him. BJ's only chance is to open a cut on Diaz over the eyes.
√ WINNER Diaz got cut but BJ got messed up more than usual. BJ ended up with a really swollen eye and mentioned retiring.

Romero over TeHuna.
X LOSER--TeHuna knocked out Romero with little effort in 47 seconds.

Mizugaki to beat Escovedo. Mizugaki has only lost to top notch talent. He's just the better fighter in this one.
√ WINNER--Mizugaki finishes with a nice KO in the 2nd round.

Yagin over Assuncao
X LOSER--Assuncao whooped his ass.

Boetsch will beat Ring. Tim Boetsch keeps improving and Nick Ring has never impressed me.
√ WINNER--Boetsch as usual out lasted and finished strong. Nearly snapped his arm at the end of the second round.
